Our story
Adam cleans things. Ian gets hats dirty.
We both love hats, which is how Ian ended up bringing Adam a stack of 20 old favorites. They were too good to throw away but far too dirty to keep wearing. Adam cleaned them, we figured out what worked, and Second Round started from there.
During the founding pilot, we photograph, clean, reshape and check every batch ourselves. If we share a customer’s story or photos, it’s because they said we could.

Pricing is locked for the first 100 paid boxes. Payment is currently disabled while final business and legal launch details are completed.
We take our time with every hat.
We photograph and inspect each one, then clean, reshape and check the whole batch before sending it home.
We clean them
We check the materials, clean and rinse the batch, then reshape each hat and let it air-dry.
You wear them again
After a final check and a few photos, we send your hats home with tracking. Our target is 7–10 business days.
Care first
Valuable doesn’t always mean cleanable.
Most everyday golf and baseball caps made from cotton, polyester, performance fabric and mesh are good candidates. Every hat is inspected before cleaning.

Why clean it?
A clean hat is one you don’t have to replace.
It’s better for your wallet, and it keeps a perfectly good hat out of the trash. Nothing grander than that.

Will my hats look new?
Maybe not—and we won’t promise they will. Sweat, sunlight, age, fabric, dye and old damage all affect the result. The photos on this site are real, but every hat is different.
Can I send a signed, rare or $200 hat?
Ask us first. Water and cleaning can remove signatures, paint, patina and adhesives. Send photos of the outside, inside, brim and care label before ordering. Never send a signed or irreplaceable hat unless we accept it in writing.
Can you remove the smell?
We’ll work on it, but we can’t guarantee every odor will disappear. The aim is to return a hat you’re happy to wear again.
Why send several at once?
The cleaning price is the same for one eligible hat or ten, so filling the box gives you the best value.
Is cleaning better than replacing?
If the hat is still sound, cleaning it means you may not need to buy a replacement. It also keeps that hat out of the trash for longer.
Are you connected to the brands on the hats?
No. Second Round Hat Co. is an independent cleaning service. The logos belong to their owners and don’t imply sponsorship or endorsement.
